Visit to the Faculty of Civil engineering and Architecture

 Students from primary school "Toplički heroji", Žitorađa (Pejkovac), had a field trip to the Faculty of Civil engineering and Architecture in Niš to learn more about how to create their own city. This activity is one of many activities within CREATIONS project, witch aim is to link STEM subjects with Art. Partner of this project in Serbia is Center for the Promotion of Science, Serbia www.cpn.rs
This visit is planned as one of activities for #STEMDiscoveryWeek organized by #Scientix, called "Say Yes To STEM"

In the hall of Faculty, there was an exhibition of successful interior designs, that was very interesting to our students.

Professors and assisting professors of Department for Urbanism and urban planning of Faculty for Civil engineering and Architecture prepared very interesting presentation with many examples of cities.
They have answered to many students' questions and helped them in developing their ideas and solutions about making models of the city.
They also explained what the architects do, what is their job and gave advice to students how they can became an architect.

Examples within the presentation were built using different software tools for making 3D models in architecture, but for the end of this session, they found some real models from their archive, which was more than 10 years old, and we could see how 1:1000 scale rally looks like.

Our students were really satisfied with this visit, because they got answers to their questions, got new ideas and now they can imagine better what they need to do in order to create their perfect city.
We will start to work, and hopefully will finish it until the end of the next month.
