At Annual seminar for Math and ICT teachers in Serbia, organized by Mathematical Society of Serbia, I had the chance to present our work in Math projects across different platforms - eTwinning, Scientix and Microsoft in Education.
The special place in this presentation was reserved for using the Skype in the Classroom in Math classes. I explained to the teachers where they can find Skype in the Classroom activities in Microsoft in Education platform, what types of activities are there and told them how I'm using Skype for my Math classes.
I've showed them the Mystery number game, where the students can learn different types of numbers in English and have some fun :)
Also, I've presented my Math lesson about the Pyramids I had in May this year with Mohammed Abo Hassan, the teacher from Egypt who showed to my students some of the Mysteries linked to Pyramids. We had a Geography, History, Art, Math, English and ICT at the same class and it was so interesting for students.
In MEC there are also many Skype lessons, Skype collaborations and projects about Math that could be interesting for them.
Teachers liked very much all our activities from the presentation and I hope we opened their eyes and minds to new possibilities the new technologies could bring to their classrooms.
